There is a fair amount of work left to get done on Tilia. The big delay has been getting new solar panels added. New solar panels will allow us to use the goodies on Tilia without running the generator as much. Replacing the solar panels means getting a new mount fabricated and installed. The yard doing the work on the solar mount is almost done.
There’s some bracing to be added and then they need to polish the stainless steel. When that’s done we will go to our home marina and get those panels wired into the boat’s electrical system, and a few other things. Right now, the inside of the boat is a bit…untidy.
Space is at a premium on a boat, so things are often placed under beds and couches. Very efficient use of space, but it means boat projects can be disruptive.
Once we’re back at our home marina, we’ll also get the old name removed from the boat and our spiffy new Tilia logo added! We’re looking forward to showing that off when it’s done.
