We left St. Peters and made our way deeper into the Bras d’Or lakes. We visited a First Nation site and continued on to Baddeck, our farthest point north for this season…

After an uneventful overnight along the coast of Nova Scotia, we arrived at the Bras d’Or lakes of Cape Breton, which we will explore for the next week.

Our passage to Nova Scotia went very smoothly and we arrived in Yarmouth in good time and good spirits…

We left Norfolk, VA, taking a careful route to avoid the remnants of tropical storm Chantal. Weather patterns weren’t conducive to continuing to Nova Scotia, so we wound up in Cuttyhunk to get ready for the next leg of our journey.
